Youth between the ages of 12 and 26 can choose what they want to do this summer!
Youth between the ages of 12 and 26 can choose what they want to do this summer!
What is Thrift Flip Fashion Experience you ask?
It is Creative Art Events proposal for a program for youth this summer.
Got style? Got ideas? Ready to find community and make something totally your own?
This FREE summer program invites youth to explore the world of fashion design through a safe space that emphasizes creativity and upcycled materials to turn old clothes into bold new looks. We’ll meet for hands-on workshops and an interactive hang out space where fashion and sustainability come together. Along the way, you’ll collaborate to learn skills like sewing, clothing repair, and fashion design. You’ll try quick design challenges and experiment with clothing, fabric, and even recycled materials. Whether you’ve never touched a sewing machine or you already love design, this program is for you! Guest designers will share their unique style, from thrift culture and upcycling to creative styling and wearable art. The best part? You’ll create unique fashion using reclaimed clothing and materials. Together, you’ll work toward showing your creation in a youth-led fashion show. Your design could also appear at Trashion Show Long Beach, giving you the chance to showcase your creativity on a real stage! Supplies, food, and sewing kits (that you can keep!) are provided. This isn’t just fashion: express yourself, make friends, learn skills, and help the planet. Bring your ideas and show Long Beach your style! Vote today!
It’s time to VOTE!
