Youth for the Planet: A Climate Mural
Community members will learn to measure and track air quality, noise pollution, thermal heat and temperature to create a mural at the Admiral Kidd Park Teen Center that visually represents the information gathered.
Join Creative Art Events and local youth from the 90810 community as we measure air quality, sound levels, and temperatures at Admiral Kidd Park this October and November.
We will be testing out our equipment on Tuesday, October 7th. Meet at the Teen Center at 4:30pm. Open to all interested community members.

Turn trash into treasure this holiday season!
Create Upcycled Ornaments we’ll supply a variety of reclaimed materials — from bottle caps and fabric scraps to cardboard and found objects — plus tools and guided instruction. You’ll learn simple upcycling techniques, playful assembly tricks, and finishing touches that make each ornament shine. Leave with handmade holiday decorations and new ideas for reducing waste while crafting beautiful and unique gifts. The 908 Holiday Fair is free and will be hosted in the 3rd floor event space at Sports Basement (2100 N. Bellflower Blvd.). It will take place from 12-5pm on November 30th. Stop by and spend an hour or two with us on the weekend after Thanksgiving, and support local this holiday season! |

Creative Art Events was a sponsor of Brooms Across West Long Beach, a street cleaning and tree maintenance project that took place on January 25, 2025.
Volunteers and City staff collected over 20 tons of trash and debris and dumped items were collected on Saturday – including 8 tires, 12 mattresses, and a refrigerator!
This clean-up was part of the City of Long Beach’s Westside Promise efforts dedicated to providing resources and opportunities for West Long Beach residents.
